nanoblock Limited Edition Deluxe Maneki Neko Released

The Deluxe Maneki Neko which I created using the bricks from 4 normal Maneki Neko sets is now available for order. It uses over 560+ bricks (out of 600+ bricks included). It is being released as a limited edition with a limit of only 100 sets and the build instructions will not be publicly released.

Each set will come with:

• Limited Edition Certificate of Authenticity personally signed by myself and stamped with a seal.
• Printed Build Instructions for Deluxe Maneki Neko.
• Four sets of normal Maneki Neko (NBC-031) for the bricks.
• A sticker with my signature which you can stick to the bottom of your Deluxe Maneki Neko to show it is a limited edition.
• Feeling good that you are helping to support an aspiring brick artist =P

The price is RM159.  (52 sets sold so far)

RM is Ringgit Malaysia. USD1 is about RM3.30.

nanoblock Maneki Neko Review

The Maneki Neko (招き猫, literally "Beckoning Cat"; also known as Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Money cat, or Fortune Cat) is a common Japanese sculpture, often made of ceramic, which is believed to bring good luck to the owner.

The nanoblock Maneki Neko set comes in a zip-lock bag packaging, with over 150+ pieces of building blocks, and a sheet of instruction paper to show you how to build your own Maneki Neko lucky cat.

This is a "Level 2" nanoblock set, so it is fairly simple and you should be able to build it quite quickly. I was able to build this in about 20 minutes. The build process is straight forward and nothing really tricky. Stickers are also provided with different "wishes", so you can pick and choose which one you want to stick on your Maneki Neko. Here are some pics of the build process.

And here is the final result. This cute Maneki Neko stands at just 5.5cm tall and fits right in the palm of your hands.

The American Shorthair is a breed of cat believed to be descended from European domestic cats brought to North America by early settlers to protect valuable cargo from mice and rats. The nanoblock American Shorthair set comes in a zip-lock bag packaging, with over 120+ pieces of building blocks, and a sheet of instruction paper to show you how to build your very own cat.

This is a "Level 2" nanoblock set, so it's quite easy to put together. I was able to build this cat in about 25 minutes. Here are some pics of the build process.

And here is the final result. It stands at just 5cm tall.
